I'm at @OmniQi and will phase out this one completely
Let’s see how this goes on Mastodon, ‘cause it had no good result on the bird site.
I need to commission the creation of new logos and banners for social media and studio8502.ca. I am perfectly willing to pay a reasonable fee, but I’d like to know the amount up front.
Madison Cawthorne won't read your "haha he's in a wheelchair" joke.
Donald Trump will never see your fat joke.
Joe Biden will never hear your jokes about his stutter.
Your friends will. Your friends with mobility aids. Your friends who aren't a size 0. Your friend with a speech impediment they've worked relentlessly to overcome.
If you want to make a joke about a politician/public figure, find something worth joking about. Ableism ain't it. Weight ain't it.
Examine the engine of your humor.
It's not enough to squat a Mastodon handle that you never use.
It's not enough to automatically repost your Twitter timeline.
You have a chance to be part of something new. Something important. To shape it in the right way.
With all of us.

Racism and antiblackness on the fedi
I'm starting to get a clearer picture as to what the fuck the problem is now and I'm getting closer and closer to the point.
The fact of the matter is that white people are often incapable of recognising antiblackness and that their ability to assess behaviours like these is tinted by white supremacy.
Their inaction is itself a form of antiblackness, as it perpetuates the unwelcoming nature of fedi as a space made by whites for whites primarily. The only solution to the problem is a radical shift towards making antiracism a priority. White people have a duty to listen to Black voices and to educate themselves on antiblackness.
Nothing short of concrete and thorough antiracist action to curb this fucking bullshit will be enough to break the cycle.
Get in or get out of the way
"waah waaah mastodon is slow and glitchy sometimes, how can you bear it"
bitch I grew up with dial up. I scrolled endlessly through the hampster dance, half the jpegs broken. I spent an hour looking for and downloading a simple mp3. I waited my 54 minutes to continue watching a ropey stream of true blood with unsynced audio. I still use tumblr. you are like tiny baby
